Rajasthan is the largest state in India, covering an area of approximately 342,239 square kilometers. It is located in the northwestern part of the country, bordered by Pakistan to the west, Gujarat to the southwest, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to the northeast, and Punjab to the north. The state has a varied geography, with the Aravalli Range running across the state from southwest to northeast. The range divides the state into two distinct regions: the desert region to the west and the more fertile region to the east.
Rajasthan has a dry desert climate, with very little rainfall throughout the year. The state experiences extreme temperatures, with very hot summers and cold winters. Summer (April to June): Temperatures can soar up to 48°C (118°F). Winter (October to February): Temperatures can drop as low as 0°C (32°F). Monsoon (July to September): Rajasthan receives most of its rainfall during monsoon season, providing relief from the heat. The desert region is the hottest and driest.
